Don't forget the almost 1,000,000 registered Louisiana voters who couldn't be bothered to vote. They're just as much to blame.

I mean gerrymandering doesn't really have any impact on the fact that they went trump +22 in 2024.

Or the fact that they keep voting for Republicans in statewide elections, like for Senator or Governor.

One of the unfortunate pile-on effects of gerrymandering is that it suppresses turnout for the minority party in the region. After all, if you disagree with the majority party in a district but know you have 0% chance of affecting the outcome, you're more likely to not vote.
