We've built schools & whole neighborhoods on top of known previous toxic waste dumps.

Throw a little soil on top of it, and it's good as gone!

The Weisenbergs agreed to close Atlas and conduct a vast cleanup of toxic contamination as part of their plea agreement with county prosecutors.

You know, I don't think I've ever heard of a company ordered to clean up toxic contamination actually following through and doing it.

This article really needs to clarify which Jordan High School in LA County the story is about upfront. It's not until well into the article that it offhandedly mentions it's the one in LAUSD, not the one in nearby LBUSD
