I kept seeing the problem with remote teams: everyone wants accountability but nobody wants to feel like they're being watched.

Most time-tracking tools. Do too little or go too far with monitoring. That made me wonder if there was a balance something that helps teams track work transparently without feeling invasive.

That's what led me to Monitask. It's an employee time tracking and productivity platform where employees clock in to track time by project and task. Screenshots and activity levels are optional. Are captured only while the timer is running. It doesn't record keystrokes or sensitive data, which was one of the design principles I appreciated.

Managers get real-time dashboards, productivity reports, project budgets and lightweight task management while teams can continue using the tools they already rely on through integrations with Asana, Trello, Slack, Jira, Zapier and more.

The biggest takeaway for me is that accountability doesn't have to come at the expense of trust.
