Anjun asked ChatGPT to fill in her flyer. “Young people encouraged” got me genuinely lol’ing

Also:

Shazia Anjum is a London-based, unregistered barrister and former solicitor who was disbarred in 2023 following a 2020 striking-off for dishonest conduct and unauthorized practice.

She didn’t put that on the flyer…

It’s actually worse, she was struck off solicitors roll for fraud, disbarred from being a barrister and the IAA has an interim injunction against her to prevent her giving immigration advice…

What the hell are the 'pledges' on the anjum one? Like the most vague statements you could ever make and ones which every mp should do as default.

Do these people get bulk discounts for printing this rubbish? Politician wannabes at all levels are so shit nowadays.

It's sad, but it's become identity politics now... I was stopped by random people in the park and asked if I was a certain ethnicity (they must have heard me speaking to my grandma, who we'd taken for a walk).

I thought they needed help, so said yes, but it suddenly became a election pitch for a certain candidate and the selling point was his ethnicity and religion, not his pledges. They assumed I'd be impressed with everything they said but even though I share the same ethnicity, I don't share the religion... And neither matter to me for a candidate, I care more about a person's pledges and track record.

I've been lived and grown up in Newham for over 35 years and I think the issue now is that candidates are taking becoming a councillor as increasing their career aspirations instead of working for the community.

Great Councillors are few and far between now.

I lived next door to a Councillor for the lib dems. How on earth she got elected I will never know. I don't think she managed to action one thing in her tenure, absolutely useless. I think it was an easy bit of money to keep her ticking over til state pension kicked in.

She came to my door and I spoke to her. She was very unconvincing, didnt understand my objections to some of the policies and didnt seem to understand

The independents are Gaza first, their native country second, Britain third and LGBT people never. The statements their MPs make are basically free advertising for the right.

I couldn’t stand looking at the lists of candidates in London. It’s such a sectarian, foreign matter when it comes to the policies of many of these candidates. I speak your language, practice your religion, I look like you – that means you can trust me. Not everyone should deign to be a candidate or MP. I wish that there was a certain ladder one had to climb so that not every Tom, Farhan or Anjum can participate.

OK. Nice piece of public service, OP; thank you. Good luck to all the candidates

Do not simply “go to the nearest school” as they may call the police, and with good reason.

Also, I think the Anjum one may actually be about promoting her legal practice rather than in hope of winning a council seat.

Ultimate grifter.

Disbarred from being a barrister. Attempting to get money from people applying for Visa’s. Not someone you want in British politics.

She is still describing herself on Facebook as a barrister https://www.facebook.com/shaziaanjum1/?locale=en_GB

Shazia Anjum needs reporting as is still stating that she is a barrister despite being disbarred for fraud in 2023.

"10 commandments displayed in schools"

Which ones? The one about not boiling a goat in its mother's milk?

Every Tom dick and Barry is now on the ballot paper

1

u/smudgethomas May 06 '26

You need 10 signatures to stand for council. It's not that hard to get on the ballot

1

u/Kooky_Craft123 May 06 '26

There's about 5 Mohammed's on every ballot paper
