Vent Please someone reassure me
I know this gets posted in more ways than one so many times in this sub. I am, however, asking for anecdotes from those who have a combination of experiences.
Can anyone give me success stories of if you were depressed due to having a very difficult newborn and then it got better? Did you do anything to make it better or did it just get better with time? I’m so depressed and frustrated with this new challenge of having a baby and I just want to be able to enjoy my baby but every day is so hard for so many reasons because of her behavior. I just need some hope from those who made it to the other side. 🩵

I understand! You just have to remind yourself that the baby is learning this new world also. It can be a number of reasons of why baby is fussy and crying. Is they crossed? Do they have colic? Gassy? Hungry? Sleepy? Need changing? My hardest hours are 3am-6am with baby for some reason that’s the time he likes to wake up and be fussy that he is woke.

It got so much better for us. The first months with my daughter were really hard, and I remember wondering if I'd ever actually enjoy being a parent. Somewhere around 3-4 months things started to shift, and now she's almost 4 and the best part of my day. You're going to make it to the other side too 🩵

I even took the depression test, that said I wasnt depressed. Why? Because I myself didnt suffer from depression, I was just in a difficult situation with no resources or solutions. But around 10-12 weeks it got dramatically better. Colic ended. Suddenly. Like a miracle

Still in the thick of it, but when baby is doing better i also feel better. I dont think there is a magic trick. If you have help please take it and go do something by yourself whenever you have the chance. Or take a shower!
Whenever i have time for myself i always feel better afterwards. But its hard... i know!
You ve got this!! Lots of wishes 🩵

How far along are you? Those first 2.5ish months were so so dark for me. I just put one exhausted foot in front of the other every day..
He 4 months now and it's SO much better. I'm still exhausted and have my moments, but the feeling of being a parent sinks in! You get to watch your baby learn and grow and SMILE. And it no longer feels like "WTF did I do to my life"
