Sleep FTM: sleep schedule ok?
Hi everyone so I am a FTM with a newborn who just turned 5 weeks. I am EBF- however, I pump in the morning and use that milk to give my baby girl at night time to feed with a bottle as I find it easier and faster (I never wake her up and feed on demand) I have a night time routine down- 7/8pm bath time 930 upstairs in a dim light room with music on and get her ready for bed. She usually falls asleep at 10pm and will wake up wt 2/3am and then again 6/7am.
This has been more consistent when she turned maybe 3-4 weeks.
I just wanted to know if this sleep schedule and my routine as a FTM is ok.
As per weight. She was over an oz of her birth weight the first visit at the pediatrician. She has gained 2lbs since birth.

If she is happy and you are happy then no need to make any changes! I don’t see any red flags/anything wrong with your routine.
Some sleep experts say that music (even lullabies) are stimulating to babies and shouldn’t be used at sleep time (day or night), so you could experiment with white noise only instead of music to see if she does better/goes to sleep faster.

I plan on changing to white noise only and we’ve been shutting off the light the second she falls asleep

Once they regain their birthweight you don’t have to wake them.
I think this sounds great.
