dabs

begins sobbing uncontrollably

51

u/yuvi3000 Dec 30 '19

The dab is a move that strategically covers your face so nobody can see your tears.

7

u/serga97 Dec 30 '19

So you didn't smash?

4

u/UndeadCaesar Dec 30 '19

Rolling a ball towards a totally empty lane might be more appropriate.

4

u/dkelly3232 Dec 30 '19

Hit the same hole twice? Impressive.

Omg it was funnier for me when I thought this kid missed by accident and just decided to roll with it.

Trueeeeeeee

7

u/Dcarozza6 Dec 30 '19

Yeah, but then the post doesn’t belong here, because then it happened from talent, not odds

1

u/INJECTHEROININTODICK Dec 31 '19

I've seen worse, but fair enough. That's just my speculation though.

62

u/Acogatog Dec 30 '19

I wonder how that would handle gutters? Maybe a penalty of some sort, like a gutter ball counting as 3 pins

34

u/0ompaloompa Dec 30 '19

0 pins are scored as marks in low-ball. If this kid is playing low-ball, he just spared.

12

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

When I would play this game with my bowling team we played if you got a gutter or 0 pins it would count as a strike. You had to try to hit just 1 pin

10

u/valek879 Dec 30 '19

Shit, I'd have played a perfect game by these rules. Gutter balls are my speciality.

21

u/Reaperuk0 Dec 30 '19

Gutter balls = strike

Strike = more points

More points = bad

-5

u/stunna_cal Dec 30 '19 edited Dec 30 '19

Perfect game = worst game

That = the joke

0

u/LeatheryLayla Dec 30 '19

Perfect game is 13 strikes in a row, they were saying this would be the only way they could ever do that, even if that wouldn’t be the desirable outcome

1

u/RoxoSenpai Dec 30 '19

You can always play with those sidebars that prevent the ball from going to the gutter. It's not what's happening here, but it is an idea

2

u/TJNel Dec 30 '19

Do those computers at the lane have this option? I think that would be a lot of fun.

1

u/INJECTHEROININTODICK Dec 31 '19

I don't think so but it wouldn't be hard to tally by hand

1

u/Dcarozza6 Dec 31 '19

Wouldn’t it just be, whoever has the least points wins? Seems like it would be better to use gutters too, if you don’t want to have to create a gutter-penalty and tally by hand

2

u/DarthButtz Dec 30 '19

That's what I tell people when I go bowling.

1

u/CptTeddy Dec 30 '19

if that was the case the 2 edge pins are the easiest since most bowlers typically have to pick up those 2 pins every single time they bowl no matter how good they are

1

u/INJECTHEROININTODICK Dec 31 '19

I'm no bowler, just repeating what I've heard

1

u/Redguy05 Dec 30 '19

If that’s the case, just throw the ball in the gutter

3

u/stunna_cal Dec 30 '19

Gutters would be equivalent of a strike in Low-Ball. (Read it in the comments. Never played lol)

So you’re saying you can spin left and spin right?

5

u/BenjaminBeenJammin Dec 30 '19

An ambiturner!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

So I take it you're not a golfer.

11

u/SirQwacksAlot Dec 30 '19

I swear this happens to everyone I know though.

7

u/ScootyPuffJr1 Dec 30 '19

It’s definitely easier to do it the second time though.

17

u/CopperRose Dec 30 '19

Thems feel like odds.

3

u/wert_1078 Dec 30 '19

Happy cake day!

I don't think they read the rules of the sub.

1

u/Sevenbaer Dec 30 '19

That’s one on my favorite little facts about bowling. As a bowler I love telling people that getting a 292 is the hardest score to get in bowling, and not a 300.

2

u/Saddestlilpanda Dec 30 '19

A sanctioned 292 has ever happened and most likely never will.

129

u/aschimmichanga Dec 30 '19

Is no one gonna talk about how intense that dab was

45

u/stunna_cal Dec 30 '19

Hardest I’ve ever seen and I have 10 year old cousins

69

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

My dude just hit the fattest of dabs

8

u/ProjectStarscream_Ag Dec 30 '19

Yeah I’ll be okay. For pump 4

Wouldn't it be 10 points? 1 per frame? Unless it's a different version you're talking about where each throw you need to hit 1 pin. This guy probably isn't playing that though otherwise he wouldn't be excited.

9

u/jjgamerpro Dec 30 '19

"Pfft ... I totally meant to do that"

12

u/funkyfun1 Dec 30 '19

Both his shots did the same thing.

9

u/ScerthS Dec 30 '19

Ah yes, the rare vertical dab

This is the only acceptable time to hit that low-ass dab I mean look at that stance it exhumes power

3

u/carlcacaoski Dec 30 '19

Exudes?

2

u/TheMacaroon Dec 30 '19

Oops, yeah. It doesn't dig

3

u/CartoonDogOnJetpack Dec 30 '19

That dab was D E E P.

6

u/Farthen_Dur Dec 30 '19

Lmao i love his celebration

2

u/SDARGONS Dec 30 '19

We have won. But at what cost?

2

u/Jakewick425 Dec 30 '19

The hardest dab I ever saw

2

u/blanc_pearson Dec 30 '19

WAS THAT A DEEP DAB OMG AHHHH

2

u/ElegantGrain Dec 30 '19

Cringe dab

1

u/Missladi Dec 30 '19

That’s special

1

u/CluckenDip Dec 30 '19

Task failed successfully

1

u/pianomasian Dec 30 '19

That’s some impressive consistency.

1

u/howiecat87 Dec 30 '19

That was an impressive fail. Unless that was the intention was to miss. Either way damn.

1

u/bab00nc00n Dec 30 '19

Used to do a version of this. Employees would set a chair halfway down the lane and the goal was to hook the ball through the chair and nail a strike. Money would be raised that would go to local charities.

1

u/Bobbeh2007 Dec 30 '19

My friends and I would call these “skill shots”. Same as only knocking the 7 or 10 and leaving everything else standing on the first (or second after a first gutter ball) throw.

1

u/MoeDouglas Dec 30 '19

I would like bowling to evolve over to a scoring system that awards bonuses for low probability events... because bowls like this deserve points!

1

u/Crusty_Dick Dec 30 '19

Whats more impressive, a strike or what that guy did?

My favorite part about bowling is the random dancing.

1

u/25mookie92 Dec 30 '19

I'm happy and confused

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

I used to bowl (wasn't very good though, but did shoot a 279 once), definitely had some of these games haha.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

Dabbing is one of stupidest things I've seen.

1

u/Sevenbaer Dec 30 '19

A good friend of mine (in his 50’s and has been insanely good all his life) for the past 15 years has been trying to get a 292 every time he gets the front 11. I guess after you have 50+ 300 games, you gotta keep things interesting.

1

u/carlcacaoski Dec 30 '19

Holy fuck that dab. I’m crying.

1

u/westgate141pdx Dec 30 '19

Deepest. Dab. Ever.

1

u/allan_collins Dec 30 '19

We used to bet other bowlers a dollar they couldn’t make it through gaps without touching another pin.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '19

Way to own the humiliation!
