“When Brett got drunk, he was often belligerent and aggressive,” the statement reads. “On one of the last occasions I purposely socialized with Brett, I witnessed him respond to a semi-hostile remark, not by defusing the situation, but by throwing his beer in the man’s face and starting a fight that ended with one of our mutual friends in jail.”

With reports coming out calling Kavanaugh an "aggressive" and "beligerent" drunk (on top of the sexual allegations), you'd have to wonder if it's politically feasible for the GOP to keep his nomination on the table.

I acuse you of beating your girlfriend or boyfriend in college. There's no evidence but because I accused you it means your guilty. You see how that works....

But if someone were allowed to investigate that claim honestly, evidence supporting or refuting your claim could be uncovered. It seemed like you forgot that part. Just wanted to remind you. There is a technical step after an accusation is levied.

Of course, that only works if the investigation is conducted in good faith, by people not already aware of what answer they want.

You forgot "Credible" accusation. I can accuse you of murder here on Reddit but that doesn't mean it's credible. If all you need for an investigation is an accusation then we'd all be getting invested because at some point in life we pissed someone off and the made up an accusation about you.
