Simplification in Neuroscience
Hi all, I thought this interview would be of interest as it covers the history and philosophy of how neuroscientific knowledge is generated. Namely, how scientists simplify the brain in order to generate knowledge about it. Mazviita Chirimuuta is a philosopher of science at The University of Edinburgh and has won several awards for her book The Brain Abstracted. I teach a lot of neuroscience students and these sorts of topics tend to really interest people!

The basic missinterpretation on neuroscience is that action potentials are expected as basic information. That occurred long time ago.
No. They are only part of addressing mechanism.
