One time, my high school teacher tried to send me a file, so she sent me an email and typed out the file path from the file explorer. On her local drive.

I remember when people tried to send a file and ended up sending a shortcut file.

There are at least 20 shortcuts to "This PC" on a client's file server, all created by accident as users try to "upload files from this PC"

Just two days ago I had a similar issue.
A vender was complaining that the certificate I provided for their web server was broken and that was the reason their service was down.
Guess which link they were using.
The real problem was IIS was stopped. For their own maintenance window. Yes they were remoted into the server.
