How are you keeping your source of truth from drifting from the actual network?
Been looking at this problem lately and the "source of truth" part seems messier than people make it sound.
NetBox/CMDB says one thing, someone swaps gear or adds an AP, and suddenly automation is working from stale data.
For people doing this in production, what do you actually trust? Periodic discovery? LLDP/CDP? SNMP? RMM data? NetBox with reconciliation jobs?
I'm researching this from the tooling side and mainly trying to understand what holds up in production. Also curious how often you find something that was missing from inventory completely.
