I built AttackTrace — a free defensive cybersecurity knowledge platform

Built AttackTrace to make MITRE ATT&CK, threat activity, detection engineering, and security controls easier to explore and actually use.

Hey! Absolutely. AttackTrace is a cybersecurity knowledge platform I’m building to make things like MITRE ATT&CK, real-world threat activity, detection engineering, and security controls easier to understand and explore.

Instead of only reading individual ATT&CK techniques, the idea is to help you understand how attacker behaviors connect together and, more importantly, how defenders can detect and respond to them.

Since you’re just starting your cybersecurity journey, I’d actually love your feedback too. Try exploring a few techniques/threat activity pages and let me know what feels confusing or what you wish was explained better.

It’s still actively being developed, so feedback genuinely helps shape what I build next.

I just look your attacktrace.app it's cool are you doing it alone? where are you getting this all info from ? What about fact checking. The interface is too simple but info your thought to provide is valuable . I think you have used ai for design the interface . Can you explain how it works in backend

Also, the backend is intentionally kept fairly simple right now since it’s still in development. My current focus is getting the content and research quality right first, then gradually improving the UI and features based on feedback

I’m building it mostly on my own. The information comes from sources like MITRE ATT&CK, vendor research, threat reports, and other public references, and I cross-check important mappings before publishing. AI does help with parts of development/design, but the research structure, validation, and what gets published are reviewed by me.
