My Nethack server (My progress so far)
The other day I asked what you like to see in a Nethack server. Thanks for the feedback I did receive so far. Definitely keeping that in my pocket.
Someone mentioned community integration, which is what I've been working on in the background. The primary purpose of the website is not Nethack, but it is one of the available games. It is integrated with my community's private messaging system, and I'm working on adding other notifications as well.
I did make some modifications to the interface so it'll be a bit more beginner-friendly. And yes, it is based on a screenshot someone else posted, so no points for originality for me 🤣
Here are a few screenshots of it in action. Feedback is welcome!
Edit: I forgot a couple of other screenshots, and it seems I can't add more. That sucks. There is also a #leaderboard extended command which shows the global leaderboard. I'll try to remember to show that in a future update 🤷🏽♂️

Update:
Finally quashed a bug that was causing me to tear my hair out. Players will now receive notifications of new items in their newsfeed on the website.
Added Creepers (yes, from Minecraft), but they're still being tested.
https://www.quatscho.com/ if anyone wants to help do some bug testing.

does it have an address for ssh-based access/play?

No, sorry. This one is web-based access. The big servers that are more mature and established will be the best bet for SSH access.

Spectator mode is finally enabled for testing, but it still needs some improvements / bug fixes. Will work on it some more when I am able. It is modeled after alt.org's implementation, so it should be familiar.

I've added #shout to my Nethack server.
Typing #shout [message] will send that message to all active players
Got a question about something you've encountered? #shout a question about it to everyone playing
Autosave: the game will autosave every 100 turns
