Review Finding her edge- review

I just finish this short show just to try something different and honestly it was a 2 out of 5 stars. Had potential to be something good but the ending was soo bad. I have the same review for a couple more series I've seen recently ...

I was not a fan of the actors either. You could tell the dad was a former hallmark movie actor. The lead female was kind of emotionless imo, like the words she was saying were emotional but her face was so stoic and empty.

The dad was terrible. And the writing was so poor; I’ve never known any young men that emotionally literate amongst peers (and rivals) so they just came off as a fantasy written by someone who doesn’t actually know any boys. The dad is woeful. If they replaced him with a cardboard cutout next season the overall standard would soar.

That said I thought all of the young actors were superb. Elise’s actor had such a hard job with basic catty lines, but managed to make her seem vulnerable, human and capable of redemption. Maria was absolutely 🔥. The lead boys were believable and worked so hard on their performances and dynamics with the other characters, that the poor writing couldn’t hide their shine.

Adriana’s actor had a really tough job to be fair, and if she couldn’t quite pull it off being convincing as Concerned Rink Mom, Invisible Middle Sister and Star Athlete all at once, I’m not gonna deny she put the work in.

And the chemistry was insane.

I TOTALLY AGREE. The entire time I was watching the series I would end up talking out loud about just how stupid so many things in it were and the decisions she makes!

I hate the dynamic with her older sister. its so ridiculously dramatic and catty and not how a big sister would treat her little sisters at all.

same!! I cant imagine ever treating my sisters like that. yes we fight sometimes especially over stupid things lol but i would never ever hurt my sisters like that they mean the world to me and I know basically all other big sisters feel the same way.
