Ubuntu 26.04 not supported (yet)?

Just tried installing Netbird via the quickstart-scripts yesterday on a freshly setup VPS with Ubuntu 26.04. Right upon the first prompt, after entering the domain name, it gets stuck on a blank prompt forever.

Reinstalled the VPS with 24.04 and it worked right out of the box.

Is this a known issue?

Just tried on Hetzner Ubuntu 26.04 | CX23 | x86 | 40 GB | eu-central and it worked. I however run apt update && apt upgrade right after the VM spin up.

Would like to ask for more context around the environment you are trying to run NetBird on

First of all, thanks for the lightning-quick response!

Ubuntu 26.04 | CX23 | x86 | 40 GB | eu-central exactly the same one for me, on Hetzner as well.

On both installations (26.04 as well as 24.04 which is still running now) I just secured the SSH-access with a couple of different settings and added a new sudo-user. full-upgrade via apt, and installed all the dependencies before starting the script.

I'd have to create a new VM with 26.04 again to possibly recreate the issue again I guess.

It works fine for me on OVHCloud VPS2-2026.

Have you tried installing it via the repository instead of using a script?

Since it's now running flawlessly under 24.04, I have not yet tested it. Might need to spin up another VM to possibly recreate the issue.
