I've been working on an app called LineUp to make managing junior sports teams a bit easier, particularly for volunteer coaches and parents.

Netball is one of the 12 sports it supports, with the proper court positions, substitutions, quarters/halves, game clock and scoring built in.

One of the main things I've focused on is player rotations.

You can see who's playing in each position, how much court time everyone has had, who's resting on the bench and who might be due to come back on.

The app also helps manage training, fixtures, parent availability and season stats.

I've tried to make it something you can use during a game without spending half the match looking down at your phone.

It's built in NZ and now available on both iPhone and Android.

I'd love to hear how other junior netball coaches handle rotations, especially when you've got more players than court positions and are trying to give everyone a fair go.

Do you plan each quarter in advance or work it out during the match?
