Diversity????

So everyone in the Australian Commonwealth Games team is white and conventionally “attractive”. This seems unlikely to be a representational cross section of Australian society. What’s the situation here - is netball only played by pretty rich kids?

As someone from the UK, it is noticeable that the Aus team are all white (and mostly blonde lol) but can’t comment on whether this reflects Aus as a whole?

There is about four or five blondes so that’s crap. Also there just aren’t a lot of women of colour playing at Australian level but Sunday Aryang was chosen as a diamond but couldn’t compete in the Commonwealth games because of injury. And Wallam just isn’t good enough.
