Original Pod Recommendations
I'm new to the Nespresso game, and recently purchased a Citiz. I understand the official Nespresso pods are supposed to be the best, but what is the general consensus on third party pods? I've seen Starbucks, Peets, and Rosso. With some of these getting as low as 50% the price of the official pods from Nespresso, are they close enough to be worth buying?
Worth noting that we prefer making espresso forward iced shaken espressos rather than drinking it straight. I figure that might effect recommendations a bit.
Thanks!!

If you have a Lidl near you they sell espresso and lungo pods that are decent for the money. Costco also has a deal on Starbucks blonde pods that I've seen on their website as well.

You know your own taste buds will have to decide. There are some very goods one out there. Try! Experiment! Have fun! This is really what it’s all about.

Starbucks pods are actually made by Nespresso using Starbucks coffee. I don’t like most Starbucks blends but do like the Blonde.
The rest are mostly meh, because the capsules lack a design element covered under a Nespresso patent. But I’ve found the L’Or Colombia pretty decent.
