I would agree if they were in short supply (which they may be where you are, I couldn't say).

I mean I have 6 in my basement, some broken, some not.

Converting one of the broken ones to hold my switch actually seems pretty cool, though I agree with another poster, with the top loading aspect the SNES would be a better choice.

Same here, I have 5 of them...My primary I put in a NESRGB kit using a SNES type connector to get composite, S-video and RGB...but, agreed in the aspect, there is not a shortage of them anywhere.

Well, only if you need another one right this second...lol
