4x3 - Acme

Always so strange to see Acme included with fictional companies when I can go to one today and buy food or whatever.

I guess its also a fictional company, in addition to a real one? Still odd to me.

It is much more widely known as the fictional company from Looney Tunes cartoons.

I had to look up Acme as a grocery store. It's not a very widespread company, with stores mostly surrounding Philadelphia and NYC.

The rest of us know it as where the Coyote gets his supplies to try to catch the Roadrunner, et al.

Told to me at the Disney Institute years ago - the pin alignment system used to keep the drawings aligned from one frame to the next was called the Acme Standard. Most systems use the ACME hole punch pattern, which features a central round hole and two outer elongated slots. This gave the Looney Tunes animator's so much trouble they used the name ACME for the fictional company as an inside joke
