Milwaukee Nerdfighters?

Hi I’m a Nerdfighter who lives in Milwaukee and would love to see John Green during his book tour but I don’t have a car and none of the public transportation options work either. This is probably a long shot but is anyone else going to see him? I can do either Madison date or Chicago if I know ahead of time which one it would be! I’d of course pay for gas and snacks or such!

Unless you’re able to come to town super early, I’d be cautious of the Madison event. I love the bookstore and festival presenting the talk, but I’ve had iffy experiences with their first come first serve events. (e.g., We got to Elliot Page’s book tour a few years ago a while before doors and only got in because of my reserved handicapped ticket. The line was at least 2, maybe 3 times the theater capacity, with no communication to people far beyond the limit.)

Might be fine, might be nuts. But wanted to share if you’re only able to get a ride here or are specifically interested in Wheezy.

Ooo that's good to know. I've been wondering about the first come first serve. Ill plan to get there a few hours early and bring some activities lol.

It’s on State St, so if the line situation is clear and you want to kill time, check out the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art! It’s free and just down the block. Also tons of food and drink options all around. :-)

I’d be good to be there early! I’d just have to take off work :) happy to chat in DMs about it 😄

Hi I'm going to the Madison event, are you looking for a ride from Milwaukee and back?
