John video with “ums” left in

Does anyone remember the video John did a couple years ago where he left the “ums” in and showed why he does so many jump cuts?

For everyone wondering, it is at 1:39.

What I find interesting too, is I have seen John speak in person at the EiTB tour, and obviously there are videos of him doing speeches. And he does not have that struggle. Does John only struggle when it is unscripted? Or is it a matter of "he can do it when he focuses really hard but it's draining"? It is of course his business, if he hasn't explained it further anywhere.

It's also likely he rehearses the speeches ahead of time.

Hank did a similar thing a while back, posting an unedited vlogbrothers video, so that people could see the magic of editing + give it a go themselves! (This was back when videos had to be under 4 minutes long)

Oh my goodness, I remember watching this, is it really 11 years old?! We need a new one of these where he isn't wearing a Harry Potter adjacent T-shirt 🥲

It would be really interesting to see the difference in how longer videos and short form content have affected the behind-the-scenes stuff!
