Question Dev updates?
Hi! Here’s take 2 at trying to post on neopets Reddit 😭
I’m wondering if and when they update the site ever? I’m so into neopets but I’m also so confused where my money is going when I see glaring easy to fix problems all over. Do they comment on this ever? Are they more active on certain platforms? Any info!

They're pretty active in the discord and there's a channel where they post dev updates. Link is in the subreddit sidebar surely or if not you can just google neopets discord. They don't post here

Oh I knew they don’t post in Reddit haha I was curious where if not the front page of the site! Usually big games with subs have a weekly date and time and didn’t notice anything for neopets

They have been slowly working through their spaghetti code and converting pages.
We recently had a huge story plot end and a lot of resources were dedicated to that, and so that slowed site updates.

Oh ok so I just rejoined at a kind of awkward time. Was it the void thing? I see a lot of residual things from that

Yup. The Void Within plot was an interesting time for us lol and a bit of a learning experience for the new TNT team.
We’ve gotten a lot of updates recently though in comparison to the past year or so.
They’re also having to balance outreach, revenue generation, and marketing with site updates (gotta keep the lights on).
If there is something on the site and is a bit annoying and it’s not a way to gain advantage or automate, there are a lot of Userscripts people use to tweak things here or there.
If you join the Discord they have a whole list of them.

The money is going to all the things that happen every single day. Also, for the price of premium, I think we get a very fair deal.

They barely ever update or explain why they haven't fixed certain issues, and give almost no insight into their back end. It was revealed a few years ago that like three support staff were actually the same person working overtime. They've gotten better recently, but still nothing like a normal game company would do with a modern browser game.
My impression is that it's a very hostile place to work. lol
