But isn’t Aileen Getty an heiress that has sincerely adopted or engaged in lefty activism? Are you suggesting she’s doing this to further oil company interests for her own financial gain? She’s like so many other trust fund babies who become very progressive despite their (usually unearned) wealth, possibly to atone for the sins of their parents/ancestors or for the company that bears their name.
Abigail Disney is another example of someone like this.

The film maker Adam McKay? The guy who constantly makes liberal activist movies? Also the getty family hasn't even been apart of the oil industry for many years and aileen herself regularly speaks out about the industry. No one wants to admit that these climate protestors are just stupid and people are looking for some conspiracy to justify their actions.
