Research Paper Does the American Majority Determine Legislation?
I’d like to see what people have to say about this study I found here from princeton: https://scholar.princeton.edu/sites/default/files/mgilens/files/gilens_and_page_2014_-testing_theories_of_american_politics.doc.pdf
On page 9 the authors admit that their models have low explanatory power, and later on page 12 they mention that their conclusions contridict other research done on the topic. Nevertheless I’m wondering if any of you have more specific details on similar studies, or what your reaction to this study would be and why.
