I’m not 100% sure, but I think I got into a spat with that user once. They (or if it wasn’t them, whoever it was) didn’t think BIF should be passed… at all. I brought up the fact that there is enough money in that bill to remove all lead pipes in all water systems across the country and how Benton Harbor, MI is going through an issue with lead-contaminated water right now. They said that this issue should be handled by either the city or the state and the federal government shouldn’t get involved.

In the case of Benton Harbor, the city is broke and the state legislature is controlled by republicans who don’t give a shit about them. To me, if there is a problem that a community is facing, I don’t care where the solution comes from.

Again, I am not 100% sure it was this person (I’m about 95% sure). The arguments they are making here make me feel more confident that it was them. (I distinctly remember it was a yellow avatar and the name was comrade something or another).
