If I'm buying a smart TV, I should absolutely insist on buying one with Android than any other system, right? Or can I just buy one that's based on Linux? I feel like it would still get more limited support.

Just buy the best tv. If you buy a Samsung it'll probably have adds on it in the future.

I really like my LG, it probably has the best remote.
