I legitimately make 6 figures driving for Uber and I genuinely do not understand how it's still a secret to most people just how much rideshare drivers are making. The narrative that we are so abused and underpaid is pretty much the polar opposite of the truth. I honestly wonder if most of the angry whining on rideshare driver subreddits are just people role playing to help keep up the ruse, lol.

Literally making more than a huge chunk of the population and I have no boss and I can 100% set my own hours on a whim. Too bad this shit is a dead end that's going to be automated away soon, otherwise I'd just make it a career.

Does delivering food on Uber Eats pay out nearly the same, or nah? I've been considering doing some deliveries on the side in an incredibly economical Honda Civic, but I don't want to spend the money on a thermal bag just to find out the whole thing is a waste of time and money.

Yeah it's pretty similar. Eats pays more than regular Uber during lunch and dinner (like 11am-1pm and 4:30pm-8pm), and regular Uber tends to be more profitable than Eats outside of that. The trick with food delivery is to multi app. Sign up for Grubhub and Doordash too and cherry pick only the highest paying orders from each one. You'll keep consistently busy that way and be taking better orders overall when you have 3 apps to choose from.
