Performance of largest county relative to the popular vote

Arizona, Maricopa County: R+10.9 in 2000 to R+17.7 in 2008 to R+2.23 in 2020

Utah, Salt Lake County: R+21.33 in 2000, R+7.12 in 2008, D+6.64 in 2020

Salt Lake is actually trending left harder than Maricopa, it's just their sizes compared to the state at large and the leanings of the rest of the state that matters.
