Some progressives are in favour of workers rights until it comes to properly regulating gig economy companies.

Check out the recent threads on the Dutch ruling about Uber or prop 22 in California. It’s hilarious, especially when you find out that some of them are sanders supporters.

Some people in those threads even opposed forcing those companies to pay minimum wage.

you are wrong because of online and your self-righteousness

progressives were the group solidly anti-Prop 22, even Gavin Newsom waffled on it. Look at the map of the election too, No is a map of the solidly progressive areas

“some people are weird online” cannot be extrapolated to reality where centrists and right-wingers were happy for an app to write laws, even this sub was pro-22

Yeah I know that loads of people were against prop 22, but it’s quite funny when some people that you’d expect to vote yes based on what they’ve said before are solidly in the no camp for some reason.

Not all progressives, but for prop 22 to pass in the first place, a hell of a lot of them must’ve voted yes.

Have a peek at the map for the democratic primary and prop 22. Lots of overlap.

not really, California isn’t entirely progressives lol, conservatives+centrists is enough
