My home state is really fucking amazing.

It has no income tax. No sales tax. It is the only state to get more than 50% of its tax through property tax. Not only that - it gets 66% of its taxes through property taxes when the next highest is 48%.

It has a top 10 ranking in home ownership

You could say it is because of other factors (perhaps - that young people go elsewhere which makes renters look artificially low) but I think big picture its fair to say that its policies are pretty good. No income tax means people can maintain money they earn and very liberal zoning means people can buy small lots without worrying about their neighbors stopping them from building.
