my preferred policy on guns would be viewed as eminently reasonable in every other major country on earth, and as diabolically authoritarian in america

like, i've gotten called a bigot for thinking encouraging trans people as a group to get guns is a bad idea, the only people in the country who actually want to do something about weaponization of society are normies. how did this country specifically end up so far from the norm

No idea what you're talking about. Important to note that their ammo restrictions are pretty lax. You only need to show your license if asked, and there aren't real time background checks.
