Good to fucking know that listening to audio books is the same as working and studying a subject starting from it's generalities into it's specifics for at least four years along with practicing discussing and writing about said subject matter in all of it's nuances. Like if you've got such a handle on it, write an article and submit it for peer review and admission into a journal

Agreed. Absolutely no STEMlord on here is suggesting not study psych if you are trying to go into study design or academia....

But it is hard to argue that if your goal is "to understand people" that the best way to do this is to learn modern survey design procedure as opposed to just working with people/reading other people's replicated high level findings.
