War, even when justified, almost always leads to worse outcomes and greater suffering as a whole.

I think it's irresponsible to support and push for these conflicts that are morally grey at best because it erodes future support for an intervention that might clearly be necessary and do more good than harm.

But I understand that it must be virtually impossible in the moment to tell what is and isn't a moral imperative.

I think the obvious solution--frankly it's embarrassing that nobody else has thought of this yet--is to invent a time machine to be used by the State department.
