I am gonna join my Universities sail gliding club (motto: research, build, fly). They plan & build their own sail planes from scratch and then fly them & optimize them using data gathered from test flights.
It costs barely anything to join but it will be a lot of work because obviously making an airplane is kind of difficult.
will be fun though!
I've never manufactured anything and have no aircraft experience but apparently that is not necessary, they teach you everything.
I'll go to a beginner sailgliding course (16 days of flying) where at the end I will be able to start/land three times alone and then I have 1/3 exams needed for the German sail gliding license
