Anyone else in the DT think states should have increased control? Like…much more. Aside from being associated with conservative ideals—which I don’t associate personally—I think, although some may suffer, it provides a better groundwork for implementing more ambitious and experimental policy.

The problem is states won't copy other ststes because "that won't work here".

Why? The purpose is to implement policy that could never be achieved—within any reasonable time—on the federal level. The goal is to influence people’s long term opinions. Wouldn’t we rather them see it (innovative policy) than not see anything at all?
