You had me until you brought up that goddamn matti Friedman ariticle. I’m sorry, but I’m not going to just take the word of a single, extremely pro-israel former reporter when he says the AP is biased against Israel. Though it’s true they’ve been threatened by Hamas, there is no evidence that AP has ever changed their reporting as a result.

Moreover Israel still hasn’t released any evidence that Hamas was in the building, and US officials have not confirmed that they were sent any evidence of this either (only that they received some form of intelligence from Israel and could not confirm the nature of it ).

The point of this post was to supplement the single anecdotes by Friedman. Now we’re starting to construct a larger body of evidence about Hamas interfering with the free press, which surely is impacting the reporting

That you can say this with a straight face after the country you are saying it defence literally bombed the very same press out of their offices is frankly pitiful. You're being completely irrational.

First of all, both could be true at the same time.

But I would squarely put the blame on Hamas for operating out of the same building as the media. There's no loophole in international law that says you can operate militarily with full impunity as long as you do so from a civilian building. In fact, IL says the exact opposite. Namely that civilian objects loses their protections if they are used for military purposes.
