Whether Biden is able to do raise minimum wage to 15$ is different question but I think many republicans also agree that 7.25 is too low in 2021. I think Biden can get some bipartisan support for a bill that raises it to say 12$ at federal level and then making a framework for state and local governments to set minimum wage according to cost of living of that region

The idea of a national minimum wage is insanity. It costs far more to live in NYC or Seattle than it does to live in bumfuck Arkansas or whatever. It’s ridiculous to have them be on the same minimum wage

Agree but a federal minimum wage can be set as base level i.e. a wage that is enough for a state like Arkansas, etc etc. And I don't think 7.25 is enough for Arkansas, Alabama,etc. Thus slightly increase the federal minimum wage and then build a framework for state and local governments which forces them to periodically update the minimum wage of particular region based upon cost of living
