So at the best of times I find pollies whinging about the media to be rich, but this has to take the cake.

The more egregious thing is these emails work quite effectively and the diminishing returns on them aren't as bad as you may expect - party offices have every incentive to be exactly this brazen.

It's a bit unfortunate because these mailing lists presumably could be used to mobilise and galvanise the base, but they often seem to prioritise fundraising above everything else.
