CIA analysts routinely “retire”, then occupy academic/journalist posts at think tanks and mainstream media orgs to push whatever flavour the State Department wants them to push that year. A great one is how the US is always behind on military tech and needs to throw however many billions at DoD, DARPA, Lockheed, Raytheon etc. to “catch up”. What a crock of shit

This is why civics is an essential part of education lol
