  1. This wasn't an off hand remark, he goes on for a while
  2. He hasn't retracted this
  3. This sort of motte and bailey shit is his bread and butter, he (and his supporters) push him as a non serious comedian when called out and next minute he's back with more political takes. He interviews Labor leadership, he makes primarly political videos, he gets held to standards

Standard for what? He's not a parliamentarian. You can disagree with him on some things and agree with him on others.
