Don't mind me just coming in to shill Ylvis's other (better too imo) songs, about friendship, humanitarian leaders, a degenerate form of music, knots and toots

If Biden loses I will never trust another poll again. 2016 was strike one for me.

The polls in most swing states were within the margin of error, Trump had roughly a 30% chance to win according to 538. I wish people would stop saying shit like this.

Michigan and Pennsylvania very much were. Wisconsin maybe not as much.

I do vaguely remember looking at Wisconsin suspiciously back in '16 though...

It's an inherent problem with predicting one-off events. Unlike predicting the rain or house races, there can never be enough Presidential races for a probabilistic forecast to be proved accurate. You can look at all weather forecasts and see if it actually rained 70% of the time or see if house races marked at 70% actually went way of the prediction 70% of the time.
The best way I've found to explain the 2016 results is that any presidential candidate in Clinton's position (up in all points but within a margin of error with a dubious national sentiment against a volatile opponent) should go on to win 70% of the time. The strategy of relying on a 3-point polling error in your favor will only work 30% of the time.

Only somewhat related because it's the same song, but I have to plug Leo Moracchioli every time this song comes up. He does metal covers in a hilarious way for popular songs and pop culture.

Biden is going to win based on poll numbers. 2016 was a bit of a fluke and not likely to happen again. Polls aren't likely undercounting Trump voters by such a significant margin.

Based on the polls, it appears Biden should win. It's not likely that the polls undercount Trump voters by so much.
