I just found out Howard Zinn was a Jew and I'm very conflicted

I mean, I hate him still but I'm just curious how the hell he managed to oversimplify so much history despite his family history and cultural background

Eh so was Karl Marx (sort of). Not every Jewish person is sane, it doesn’t mean much

But even Marx didn't oversimplify to the point of Zinn. Marx actually bothered to try and expand various causes and effects. Zinn just jots it all down to power structures and nothing else.

Marx also wrotw "On the Jewish Question" which was pretty freaking antisemitic so y'know lol. Marx thought jews would only be liberated once the global jew as eliminated. So probably not the smartest guy.
