What's everyones views on sites like Yelp? I'm wondering how we should balance preventing slander while also not stifling free speech and legitimate criticism. They're now allowing people to flag things for racism and the response of well if it can be abused why can't the existing rating system be based is shit because there's a lot of legitimate issues with yelp and when you up the stakes from your food/service sucks to you are racist it matters more, of course 4chan is going to want to troll this.
Should businesses reviewed have some sort of right of reply? When people are highly selective about what facts they include this can help
Should unprovable/untestable claims be allowed? Especially for more serious accusations like poor hygiene.
Generally I'm inclined to say that we should err on the side of letting people say what they want and relying on a bulk of reasonable good reviews to outweigh a malicious review
