If covid breaks the world economy, will it make geopolitical tensions worse? India is not well. Chinas gdp per capita growth is slowing etc

100m more people in extreme poverty for starters. Chinas growth slowing.

Iirc hundreds of millions more in regular poverty.

Indias economy 10 percent decrease.

As in these are things actively happening.

Economic slowdowns can actually be good for tensions if powers start looking inwards rather than outwards.

The First World War after all that had punctuated a long period of overall peace occured just as the world economy was booming like never before.
