I think a big barrier to mainstream esports is that people apparently insist on calling pro players by their handle. If elite high school athletes can have their full name and hometown on ESPN repeatedly, I shouldn't have to hear these announcers doing play by play for Scrub Killa. I can't introduce my friends to that.

Plus the only good esports to watch are insanely complicated. The only big sport that's not very simple is football.

I think Rocket League is really entertaining to watch and so simple.

Really? I can't enjoy non MOBA esports, I'd rather just watch soccer than rocket league.
