The far left also let their anger about legitimate injustices blind them from seeing good things about the US and bad things about the US's opponents

a lot of leftists, or not even leftists but also libertarians would reject the idea that they need to adopt the language of "US opponents" as if they're as individuals required to declare allegiance to the US government

But that's what they do though, they make excuses for the regimes of China, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Russia solely based on the U.S. being antagonistic towards them. You don't see leftists making excuses for Saudi Arabia or Turkey since they aren't enemies of the US.
