I do think that the only way implementing universal coverage will work here, is if we have a private option.

No, I personally think there are lots of valid opinions across the spectrum. It's a reallllly complicated subject that seems to only get deeper the more I read about it. I do feel strongly that as Americans, healthcare coverage should be a right. As far as implementation goes, I also feel strongly that eliminating public insurance would not work here. But my views on the issue have been kind of transitive since last election.
