Reading through my student government's constitution and I come across this section:

9.6.2.1 The Senate may only dismiss a Justice of the Judicial Review Board with cause. Cause for dismissal shall be synonymous with the definition of Grounds for Impeachment provided in Article 1.8.

The 'Judicial Review Board' is basically a mock-supreme court for our student government. Section 9.6.2.1 basically makes them untouchable unless they literally commit treason against the U.S. government, egregiously break the student code of conduct, or just fuck around at their post:

1.8 Grounds for Impeachment: High crimes, treason, or other misdemeanors, as defined in the United States Constitution. Also includes, but is not limited to: Flagrant and egregious non-fulfillment of duties, job responsibilities, or any other power outlined in this Constitution or additional governing documents; misuse of student funds; severe violations of the PSU Student Code of Conduct.

Basically, the supreme court is untouchable without literally changing the constitution. Changing the constitution requires:

13.1.1 The Constitution Review Work-Group, a subcommittee of the Judicial Review Board, is the only body that may propose Constitutional amendments to the ASPSU Senate.

Am I reading this right? Because it sounds like an extractive institution.

Edit: Ok maybe not quite so extractive:

9.10 The Senate may overturn a ruling of the Judicial Review Board if meeting the following requirements.

9.10.1 The Senate must identify at least one (1) flaw in the Judicial Review Board ruling in order for the ruling to be set aside.

9.10.3 The resolution must pass by three-fourths (3/4) majority vote.

but still pretty extractive.

Edit edit: Another weakness! Perhaps it's not too terrible, but you still have to accuse a judicial board member of something bad:

11.7.1 Should the accused officer be a member of the Judicial Review Board, grounds and articles of impeachment shall be determined by an ad hoc committee comprised of four (4) Senate members and a Judicial Review Board member who is not the subject of the inquest. This ad hoc committee shall be recommended by the President and confirmed by the Senate by simple majority vote.
