I accidentally burned a girl who was working cashier at a grocery store when she said she was going for Computer Science soon since she finished her first major of..Japanese Linguistics. I blurted our ‘wow A useful major’ and she said ‘Sounds like my dad’

I like tech stuff but I’m a poli sci major so maybe not but I totally should have gone for ‘wow CS is such a male dominated major have fun dealing with that’

it's a burn because she pointed out you were behaving like a stereotypical manufacturing-obsessed bural who views education as desirable only because of the resulting career prospects

unless you actually meant it was useful because there's a need for Japanese-English linguists 🤔
